sala4D was commissioned to prepare a masterplan for Stage 1 (in 2019) and Stage 2 (in 2022).
The masterplan has required a deep understanding of the site’s constraints and opportunities with the engineers and ecologists, to deliver a cohesive solution to stormwater management, habitat creation and quality open space which addresses Council’s maintenance and management requirements.
Endemic species selection which satisfies the legislative requirements of the Vegetation Management Plan on waterfront lands was required. Guidance documents such as the Riparian Revegetation Macquarie River, by Bathurst Regional Council, influenced plant selection and delivery of a new riparian revegetation project.
Stage 1 is currently under construction and Stage 2 is in the planning stage.
