Following the adoption of the Murrumburrah Precinct Plan in 2018 the project was successful in receiving extensive grant funding for creek rehabilitation and parkland development.
Continuing to work in close partnership with Council, detail design and documentation of the creek line was completed in 2019 which included a chain of ponds connected through a series of pre-cast concrete fish ladders and the creation of a beach. Extensive research produced planting plans using native grasses to stabilise the creek banks and create an attractive, natural creek-side setting.
In 2022 detail design and documentation for the whole park precinct (including the regional playground; youth zone; amenities; and carpark) was issued for tender. sala4D co-ordinated the documentation set with other engineering sub-consultants.
Construction is due to start imminently however, flooding is impacting on delivery.
