Shahreen (Shah) Alford

Shahreen Alford is a landscape architect with over twenty years’ local and international experience in commercial landscape architecture, urban design and planning for the public domain.  

Her interests lie in the subconscious appreciation of beauty and the necessity for designers to contribute to society’s wellbeing through increasing the sense of beauty. She is passionate about regional communities and the integration of sustainability and healthier lifestyles throughout quality urban and detailed design.

Her skills range from developing masterplans and broad scale planning, to the production of thoroughly detailed and documented design packages ready for construction, as well as project management in construction to client handover.  

Working with well-respected teams, her planning and design efforts have been recognised by winning major state government grants as well as design competitions and industry awards, including the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects awards of Excellence in Planning and in Civic Design.
